Accounts Assistant

Due to company growth, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic & confident Accounts Assistant to join the team on a part-time basis (16 hours per week). The role will encompass bookkeeping and accounts production, debtor & creditor management, bank reconciliations, VAT and cash flow. We are looking for someone who has excellent organisational skills, a sound knowledge of finance administrative procedures & preferably experience of working with Sage line 50.

Salary: FTE £18k



Experienced 3D Programmer

We are looking for a passionate, talented and dynamic programmer who can take the lead on helping Makemedia push 3D technologies into new interactive & online markets.

You will have a wide range of core 3D programming skills with an aptitude for R&D, spotting trends and pushing the boundaries of 3D technology both online and offline.

This is an exciting opportunity because the role will include an element of R&D alongside revenue generating projects.

You should be up to speed with current & future 3D technologies with an eye to creatively applying 3D in a commercial environment. It is therefore important you can not only technically perform, but also be able to help define technology solutions in a way that benefits users.

While you will be semi-autonomous, you will form part of a small and close-knit team of 3D modelers who deliver our award winning 3D content. Our 3D content is delivered using Unity 3D (web, desktop and mobile) and the Vega Prime C++ API. As this role will include R&D we would be expecting to you to investigate new technologies such as WebGl, shader coding and low level programming.

Technical Skills

The right candidate doesn’t necessarily have to know in detail all the skills listed below. At the moment we are looking for a developer that will have good knowledge of C++, C# and Unity Engine as the main platforms. We expect the right person to have an open approach to programming that will help us develop projects as well as push forward the technologies in use.

  • Good understanding of 3D maths
  • Excellent planning and communication skills

Experience of the following would be beneficial:

  • Experience with HTML for integrating Unity projects on the web
  • Understanding of HLSL / Cg and ShaderLab
  • Experience with artist pipelines and artist software (Photoshop, 3dsMax, Maya)
  • WebGL
  • Presagis Vega Prime / API
  • Presagis Creator
  • Assembly experience would be useful
