The challenge

The Martlets Hospice is a charity with tough fundraising targets. They were looking for an innovative 3D feature that would provide a special experience to users, raise awareness and increase donations across new audiences and beyond current geographical boundaries.

Our solution

Users visit an online 3D virtual environment which is a calm and beautiful garden. Visitors can light a candle within the scene and leave a personalised message of remembrance or read those left by others. The candle burns down in real time and is viewable from across the world. This is connected to a payment system so that a donation can be made.

The results

Donations can be collected regardless of geographical location – which was previously a barrier.
